The Multi-beam Side-scan Sonar SS-M900 features two operating modes: low-speed and high-speed, which can be selected online in real time as needed. The low-speed mode is a single-beam side-scan mode, while the high-speed mode is a multi-beam side-scan mode (5 beams on a single side). Unlike conventional side-scan sonars, the system adopts advanced dynamic beam focusing technology, which greatly improves the along-track resolution at medium and short distances. High-speed scanning enhances survey efficiency, and the combination of these two technologies achieves a perfect integration of high speed and high resolution. This sonar can be applied in various fields, including underwater explosive detection and target scanning, maritime waterway management, sunken ship and submerged container scanning, underwater archaeological surveys, cable/pipeline laying and route surveys, seabed topography scanning and exploration for new energy fields such as wind power, underwater man-made structure inspection, topographic and geomorphic scanning around islands and reefs, and artificial reef/submerged aquaculture cage monitoring.
